    Hmm

From what I read it is to be made by Chrysler for them. So a dodge with
    different badge.

If the fold out "Work bench" is strong for beating on and a vice, it would be nice

    No It's not Mercedes.

They come in Dodge, and now Nissan flavors. Chrysler is making
the new pick up and the van is based on it. The source told me.

The back end (certainly the doors) sure looks like a Sprinter to me.

If it is based on the Sprinter chassis, that is made by Mercedes last I heard.

More variety in vans is a good thing, no matter who is making them. Ford and GM have not made any real innovations in the US market for a long time.

Maybe Dodge is going to replace their Tradesman series vans with their own product.

As Chrysler is not part of Daimler any more. Chrysler is
making the Nissan Titan. The new van is based on the
Titan. No Daimler involvement in production of this new
    product.

The sprinter is not a Chrysler product, not made
by Chrysler, only resold by Chrysler.

That's the Ford Transit Connect. It's a goofy little thing, isn't it? Ford has a Sprinter like van overseas that is rumored to be coming here. We'll see, I may have to buy a new van before that happens.
