    Can I please have your help in explaining to me the sequence of operation for a package unit. Electrical cooling and heating?

    T-stat satisfied,unit shuts off.

    Do you now the sequence of operation for a split unit, electric heat and cooling?

    Basically the same.

    Slight differences from one manufacturer to the next.

    Buy a copy of Doolin'sTrouble Shooter's Bible. I believe Johnstone Supply carries them. Or try some of the internet sites for used books. The book should answer your questions.
