If you want to be a professional at anything, take a writing course. Old fashioned things like punctuation, sentence structure and the ability to articulate a question are important concepts in real life.

    Well, you asked.

That's my answer. If you can't handle it, go back to ******** *******.

    Translation of original post:

    (Hello-)
    I am in Hamilton, Ontario.
What should I do, take g3/g2, or HVAC? Which school in Hamilton should I attend?

See the difference? One is almost gibberish, and the other is communication. Without the ability to communicate, you are going nowhere, no matter where it is you go.

    Get it?

I think what you really need to ask is, is it worth it to get a G2 or just go for HVAC... A G3 is pretty much worthless unless you are going to get G2 after it. Otherwise you could just go HVAC. The G3 sounds good, but is basically a tax grab (just like the G2, but u can at least work by yourself). I don't find the TSSA enforces the rules enough, so that is why i say the G3 is pretty much useless. Most of the guys already working are not licensed and are taking the course after the fact...I did it the other way around...G3, then G2 (actually writing the exam in mid March so I can get licensed). But no jobs here in Ontario, at least not down here in Windsor anyway. I am thinking of paying the $ and challenging the hvac test so that I will have that for the summer and hopefully that will attract more attention. Either that or head West, as I am already working with a recruiter just waiting to get my licence.

As thin skinned as you are, I say none of the above for your question. If you can't take some constructive critism from here, they'll tear you up in the field. Maybe another trade would be a good idea. JMHO

I think you are about three rinks ahead of this kid. I was able to understand your post, even though I am 100% US educated, unlike my cousins in BC.

If he could put a sentence together, I'd say he had a shot. At this stage, a real education is his best bet. Then, he will have learned to think and could perhaps be trained as a tech.
