Honeywell International Inc. to spin-off Home & Building Technologies

Honeywell International Inc. is going to spin-off its Home & Building Technologies (HBT) business. HBT is the original Honeywell business. Honeywell International Inc. is the rebranded AlliedSignal from '99.
Honeywell t-stats, Honeywell Automation, Honeywell service (Building Solutions) without the Honeywell name?! Wow!

Honeywell official release announced they are NOT spinning of HBS (now HBT).
It is HBT that the new Ingersoll Rand manager will be managing, and still represents about a 1/3 of the Honeywell portfolio. The old HBT manager himself is spun off to the new Homes and Transportation group, consisting of Residential products, ADI security products distribution, and Transportation group that includes turbochargers and such.
It will be interesting to see what badge the residential products will wear.

It seems as if the initial info was bad. "Building Solutions" (HBS) has been part of "Homes & Building Technologies" (HBT) since earlier this year. HBT is the rebrand of "Automation & Control Solutions".
I remember back in the day, it was "Home & Building Controls" (stylized "Controls for Homes & Buildings on the vehicles), we didn't refer to ourselves as Service. Then it became "Automation & Control Solutions Service". After that, the word "Service" was dropped.
