Yes, we journeymen can be difficult. I am often proud of the fact that I am an a$$hole.

We have worked long and hard to PROVE our status in the world.

If you want answers to your questions, I would suggest starting your own thread.

the title journeyman is earned and i will expect all the punk ass apprentices to call me journeyman especially when they call and do their little crys for help. their is a bunch of attitude from a lot of young guys out there, i one time had a guy fresh out of school riding with me, at first he was cool then i got his attitude and he found his ass dropped off where i picked him up from. even today i will not answer my phone when some ass is calling me for help, i wont care and all i have to say is that i could not hear my phone since i was working in a noisy motor room for three hours.

When you have the skills that I do, then we'll talk.

Someday, you will understand being a journeyman. I am, by no means, a MASTER of this trade, rather a student of refrigeration. Even now, I still learn. That, I believe, is mark of a top technician.

Yes, sometimes, I can shoot from the hip. I can be an a-hole, but my apprentices learn and understand the refrigeration system in ways that you cannot quite manage in a classroom. If you don't want to work with me, or other men like me, then you will never make it far in this industry. There are a lot of us out here, and, as I said, we have EARNED our places at the top of the field that you are trying to break into. Good luck getting far with your attitude.

Your best bet would be to shut up and learn a little, then you can start popping your mouth off a little.

    Supertek,
CMS is on my agenda. Probably within a year or so. Commercial Refrigeration is my niche, so I will probably start there.

Oh, I hope he does get a job.

I'd like to see him get a job with a BUSY supermarket service chain. Pull a few 70+ hour weeks chasing his tail and running his own callbacks FOR FREE. With no lifelines.

Maybe, just maybe, then, he will understand the value of experience.
