Cooper Atkins TempTrak Wireless Monitoring System

I searched and didn't get any hits. Does anyone have any experience with this system in monitoring temperatures, specifically walk-in-coolers/freezers and reach-in-coolers/freezers? If so, can you share your opinion of the system? Thanks.

It is pretty darn cool. The application is a little laggy but the data you get is amazing. You can look at a huge range of information and it's pretty easy to use. Easy access to graphs for temperature for programmable tumes, as in the temp every ten minutes for the last year if you want to get that picky, as well as out of range alarms and stuff like that. Overall I'm voting 10/10 however I've never used a competing software.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Right now we're using Schneider Electric TAC I/Net building management system, which isn't supported any longer. The school district, where I work, is switching to another building management system and my boss, Director of Nutrition Services, wants to switch to an independent system so she doesn't have to depend on the district's Maintenance Department. So, she asked what I thought of the Cooper Atkins system. I feel it's way more than what we need, with many features that we most likely wouldn't use. All we really need is a way to be notified when cooler/freezer temperatures are out of range. But, she's the boss, so it's her decision.

It is nice, you are probably right it will give you access to way more info than you need. However it seems to be an accurate and reliable system. I'm wondering if there isn't some simple add on remote type sensors you could just hook up and let them be independent of each other for way cheaper?

Again, I appreciate the feedback. As it turns out, the boss would like to have HACCP compliance logging and incident management, which is a big deal these days. She's trying to get away from the kitchen staff having to keep up with the physical paperwork. So, having the ability to send refrigeration temperatures and food temperatures to the cloud, and the ability to generate reports for health inspections/audits will be useful.

I found a few other options for her to look over in addition to Cooper Atkins.

If and when she decides and if and when the system gets installed and working, I'll post back.

The tempalert guys sent me sample unit to try. Great system, easy wireless install. Sadly accounting didn't want to pay the annual rate. Had to send it back three months later.
