I think some of the outrage that people feel over the large salaries, bonuses and trips is because these banks are a good portion of the reason the economy is as it is at present. And, regardless of their solvency at this moment or government funds received, they're doing 'business as usual' and rewarding employees. The outrage comes because most of us cannot see where these people, as a whole, have done anything worth rewarding. And just because they 'need a break' doesn't justify high dollar retreats. When us 'normal' people need a break we go to the movies or a ballgame.
