    Pound Cake

    Pound Cake

    Ingredients

    1 cup of butter
    1 cup of crisco shortening
    3 cups of sugar
    5 eggs
    3 cups of flour
    1 cup of evaporated milk
    2 Tablespoons of vanilla

    Directions

    Mix butter, crisco, and sugar together with electric mixer. Add eggs, one at a time, and then alternate the milk and flour. Mix until smooth. Add vanilla. Grease pan with butter and then coat it with sugar. Use a bundt pan or 2 loaf pans. Bake at 325 for one hour & 45 minutes.

    I just had a piece, and it is good--better than Mrs. Sara Lee IMHO. The Kroger strawberries are on sale this week.
