Briggs and Stratton generator? Valve cover says vanguard on it so it's definitely not Generac.

    Biilygoat,

What Generators, other than Generac, have you found to be the most reliable, service friendly, & with good technical backup?

lately honeywell has been pretty good. had an issue w/one and called tech line, got confirmation on bad control board (integral battery charger was bad) and got it in few days. no issues w/transfer switches yet.

The brown centurions seemed hard to find control boards, and they liked to explode batteries if they were over 3-4 yrs old, which is why you sometimes needed a board, due to acid splash/ battery failure.
