    Ford Transit Gas Fill Door

Seen gripes about these gas doors breaking easily. Mine is just hanging by one hinge. Boss dude had one broke. I see one parked accross the street it gone. To whom should we complain to for a redesign and recall?
Looked at it and I've seen sunglasses with beefer hinges!

Not the brightest design when 50% of the time you snag it on your pants leg when you get out of the van.

Very stupid location, design and use.

I can see the door being broken when you close the driver's door while fueling.

And when you call to complain, you are the only one that has that problem. But the parts dept will have 10 in stock.

I broke mine when the door closed with the seatbelt latch in the door opening.

Bad gas door, but a great van to drive and work out of, unless you are a big guy, then good luck with that too.

I got the long and tall T250 with the 3.5 twin turbo. Lots of fun to put the pedal to the metal.

Promaster has the same crappy design...broke mine a few months ago, and had it replaced under warranty. I blamed the frigid temps and said...I opened it, heard a cracking sound, then it fell off. I wanted to replace it myself, but if they warrantee it, they will not even sell you the part directly.

Same on my Benz. I somehow left the cap off and the door open the other day. It survived a trip at 80mph for 45 minutes.
