    newer brand question

    What do you guys think of ComfortStar?? Its a newer product by Smart Electric, Chinese i think. Anyone sold any of this stuff? Any luck with it?

    Not an impressive product. I would recommend staying with the respected brands..Mitsubishi, Daikin.
    If you must have an el cheapo look at the Goodman.
    You can't learn a thing with your mouth open.

    i figured so

    When I was in distribution, the reps for Comfort Star tried thier very hardest to get us to take on their line. Sometimes I wished we would have, the distributor took on Fedders as a second line and it was awful. Fedders is probably the worst central air system on the market. They fall apart in the box on the boat coming from China. Many leaks, bad motors, broken drain pans, etc that i had to warranty for contractors. Actually Goodman isnt that cheap anymore, can get icp products a little cheaper and i like them a little better, esp since i have had bad condensor motors on 3 out of the last 4 Amanas i put in that were bad on start up.

    Worked on two 5 ton Comfort Star heat pumps, relly poor equipment, goodmans alot better. dont do that to your customers....

    dont worry about that

    You see whats on the side of my trucks. Bryant, to me, is the best there is. I am just curious about that brand, as i have never seen a post about it on here.
