If you go to the Burj Dubai's website under "Facts & Figures" it tells you a little about the mechanical systems.

Chilled Water Cooling System - 10,000 Tons Worth !!
Electrical System - 36 mVV peak demand
Condensate from the cooling system - 15 million gallons a year - they are using it to water the landscaping

The first pic looks fake, prolly because I never seen a picture like that before.
We only want to do it, if we can do it right.

I agree. Study the buildings on the right side of pic #2 and you'll see the far left bldg from pic #1 has been replaced. On second look it may be behind some structural part of the new bldg.

I think the cloud picture is taken from the actual building and the construction picture is taken from a man basket away from the building.

Give them terrorists a new target.

Funny thing is..... it was designed by a firm in Chicago, no doubt with Otto's help.

The second picture was taken by a helicopter, you can see it's camera to the far right. The Cranes Boom is over the men working.

When I take a picture I can always see the camera in it. I suppose the scaffolding you see at the bottom of the picture is the helicopters landing gear too.
