    The orange wire with the wire nuts is to the common on the compressor... Somebody cut it and wired in a high pressure safety in. Would have been so much easier to just wire it in with the contactor coil like you are supposed to... This limit ended up burning out (of course) and damaged the compressor windings. There were three units on this roof wired this way.

    Nice gotta love handyman quality work. Old Carrier? The capacitor is not in the mount correctly either

    I don't know what brand this is, there isn't a tag left and any manufacturers labels are long gone. This is actually the one next to the unit I was called out on, I rewired this one quick.
