    We have four new water chilled air handlers. One of them no matter what we did would cool at all. After doing everything we could to get flow, we decide there has to be a restriction in the unit piping. After drilling holes in the return header to see where there is and isn't water we find this. Factory weld.

    that doesnt look to be a weld or a braze part. It does look like a cap (i forget the exact term) or something that looks like the end of a cap cut off a smidge below where the cap face starts.

    The other thing that comes to mind, based upon the circular colors, is a formed end of a copper tube that prevents infiltration or exfiltration of air or water. similar to plumbing stubouts.

    Was this a "T" drill formed hole that they welded a spun closed bit of copper into?
