    My cousin's kids had a show cow. It was so gentle and easy going my cousin had to have a friend take it to the locker. The killer said it walked right up to the head gate and they had a hard time putting it down.

    My brother doesn't have any problems, especially now his freezers are getting low. It won't be until next fall untill he ready to take a steer in. Although, he has a female that won't breed. He is thinking one more chance and it's off to make hamburger.

    I guess it takes all kinds to make the world go around. When I grew up we would name the cows. When we'd ask what was for dinner, the response was, "Blacky" or "Elsie" or whichever one it was that season. I don't believe you've ever had a really good steak until you've calved it, raised it, fed it, and butchered it yourself. JMHO
