    Confused Furnace Question..

    Hello everyone, I have a question regarding a furnace, I went on a call today for a no heating on a furnace, the apartment building has a total of like 14 of these dinosaurs, I found 4 with cracked heat x, so I need to replace them but the only thing I could read on the nameplate was that they came from a comp. called The Hayes Company, size 4 and I believe a reading of 48,500 btu's, anyone have any idea were I can find some info. on these units? or who I can contact to find replacements.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks

    Sub the job to a company well versed in system replacement. 14 units x 3 occupants =42 lives you will be responsible for if you screw up.

    If 4 units have cracked heat exchangers, the other units will certainly be ready to crack soon. Not to mention the energy these things are probably wasting, upgrading to safer equipment is def the way to go. Never heard of a Hayes before, sorry i couldn't help more.
