    Pelican Recoil flashlights?

Has anyone seen these flashlights? Was thinkin of purchasing one from Klein tools, they are supposed to focus 100% of the beam foward instead of scattering the light. If anyone has one let me know, want atleast one opinion lol.

I have used other pelican lights and they are of good quality.

Personally, I carry a SureFire 6P. Bright, light and rugged.
Drawback is a 1 hour battery life.

The light is very WEAK 1 WATT 32 LUMEN.
Now aday LED technology is doubling at every 6-8 months or so just like the computer tecnology.

Even the 24.95 Lowes Task Force 3 watt flashlight is leap and bound better.

Or Home depot 4 watt 200 Lumen 2 D cell flash light would be leap and bound better.

There is one in homedepot Husky 2 D 200 Lumen Flashlight. Cost is $29.95

Read all about it from people that is Flashoholics.

    at Candlepower forum

    http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/...d.php?t=209624

Including beam shot comparison to other flashlight etc.

    Or slightly cheaper and smaller

Advance auto parts has a 2C Profesional choice flashlight with 3watt Luxeon led $19.99
and its counterparts in Lowes as TaskForce 2C flashlight $ 24 -29 sometimes on sale

i bought my streamlight stinger in 1996, still going strong.

also have the pelican your looking at but in a rechargable version. not a bad light but the beam is almost to focused. great for finding addresses in the dark but wont light up a work area.

if my stinger ever dies ill replace it with the led version. best light ever

I actually picked up one from HD this morning, 24 bucks, 200 lumens, led and very bright. I say the new mag lite version but being round the have a tendency to roll, which is quite frustrating. They do have a small led lite, about 4" long, 3 AAA batteries which is 400 lumens and extremely bright but quite pricey at 50 smackers.

I have owned about 8 Pelicans for the past 2 years( 3 C battery kind). I am forever having problems with them where they wont come on or cut off on their own so I have backed away from using them. I actually made fun of the guy at work the first couple of days but he had a good idea, I now use this,
    http://www.botachtactical.com/en6ledhe.html
so he gives me a hard time for copying off of him
