    HVAC hell

This is where bad air conditioners go when they misbehave. Ran across this one this morning.

The old Lennox on the right is disco'd. Apparently, when it died they just set the Carrier next to it and ducted it in.

As if it didnt have enough of a challenge to begin with. Amazingly, the original compressor still runs. Didnt check pressures to see if it actually pumps though.

AC unit didnt have heat. No problem, there's an easy solution. No need for dampers, it'll work just fine.

The front unit isnt much better.

Atleast the neighbors were smart enough to ditch the attic equipment.

A few pics from the alley.

Trust me, the outside looks much better than the inside.

Glad the power company puts safety first. That's just a piece of carboard stuffed in the box, and it's still hot.

That's ok, the neutral wire will hold it.

I see the phone company takes pride in their work too.

This one is kinda cool. There hasnt been a Sears here in many years.

There are two other buildings in town with a metal roof over the air conditioners. One is a church with probably close to 50 tons total under the metal roof. Sad thing is they were told not to do it because it would cause problems, but they did it anyway.
