Insure only things you can't overcome loosing. Look at all the insurance folk and their lifestyle. That's how they live with what's leftover after all the claims are paid. Keep insurance to the min and you will be better off...

If I had bought Berkshire Hathaway shares with the premiums instead of me funding Berkshire Hathaway stockholders - I would be doing it Buffet-style.

When faced with the choice between changing one's mind, and proving that there is no need to do so, most tend to get busy on the proof.

I finally got a list from the insurance company of brands/models of the stuff they are going to replace. They're upgrading quite a few of my tools for me too. Hopefully the orders got placed Friday so I will start receiving stuff early next week. It's been really difficult going back in time and using old 2nd rate hand me down tools but I've made do so far.
They are upgrading me to an iConnect heat pump kit imperial 917c kit. I can't wait to put that sucker to the test. They're getting me an appion tez8 as well.

Damn...scary stuff.
Fire is pretty frightening too...
Is the Religious Right to blame for Christianity's decline?
They argued that, as the Religious Right became increasingly visible and militant, it became associated with Christianity itself. And if being a Christian meant being associated with the likes of Jerry Falwell, many people—especially political moderates and liberals—decided to simply stop identifying as Christians altogether.

I'm not convinced it is... Just waiting on those siren chaser lawyer commercials to say "if you or a loved one has died from rectal bleeding after using a vapor e cig contact the law offices of o'er yonder and sons to get a settlement for your losses"....
I need to just quit altogether, I've been putting it off for way too long. It's a nasty habit and by far the hardest thing I've ever tried to quit doing.

Get a decent rig and you'll never light up again. And you know damn well anything's better than smoking. It's just nicotine and plant glycol...I switched on a dime 3 1/2 years ago and never went back. Just do your self a favor and stop by a vape shop and sample it.

I tried for years to quit, but what I knew deep down inside is that I wasn't ready to give it up for all time. I loved my Marlboro Reds. It was ingrained into my identity!
After over 25 yrs of smoking (2+ packs a day for the last 10-15 of those years), the way I quit was by looking at just what was in front of me. I asked myself: Can I quit for 3 days? Yes, 3 measly days, I can do. Then I extended it to 5. After 9 days, I told myself I'd be an idiot to re-entangle myself just when I made it over the hump. I've had times where I'd like one, but it was a lot easier than I imagined. That was in 2000. I can't imagine myself smoking now. I've never looked back. Good thing. Today, I'd be spending $10 a day, $300 a month, $3600 a year. Just to die early.

Just quit dip. One of the best moves I've ever made. It was not easy and honestly I got sick which was what started it. Haven't turned back and am much happier plus the 2 tins a day @ $70 a week. My wallet will thank me also.

Yea, I spend $9.75/day on 2 packs. It'd be like getting a raise if I quit. I know I need to and I know it's time to, I'm just hard headed and haven't done it yet.

You could start thinking about a long drawn out painful death with a multitude of medical complications.
Do you have any family or loved ones?

I was smoking 4 or more packs a day. 4 at the very least. Wife didn't quit until after the 2nd bypass operation. When she quit I said I would. First I figured I would quit in January, but heck that was like a new years resulotion. Those never work. February is when. Too dang cold. March 1st. That would be a good time. Nope, to windy, April then. Quit on april fools day? No, I will quit on the 16th my birthday. Well that seems like it wouldn't be a good time on my birthday. So I didn't, got to thinking when it would be a good time. Figured there would never be a good time. Said the heck with it, as soon as I finish this pack I am done. BTW it was my last pack. Went out on the deck with my last one about midnight. Finished it, went inside and put on a patch. Got up the next morning and took off the patch and threw it away. For the next 5 years kept reaching for a cigarette. Finally that went away. When I finally had to have a bypass operation I didn't have to quit. Cut my down time in half. Now I am amazed at the price of a carton.
Quit now before you develop a sickness that can't be cured.

Sorry. But that was my motivation to quit. I had to internalize it. And think decades down the road.
Once I made up my mind, it took a second try. Made it three weeks the first time, then bought a pack. Smoked two or three, then threw the pack away in disgust at myself. After three months, the reflexive urge pretty much goes away.
Remember, nicotine is more addictive than heroin.
And the cigarette manufactures put more nicotine in the light versions of their smokes [they do reduce the tar]. So those don't work when quitting!
