    Hey Everyone!

    Nice forum

I have a question, how are commercial buildings heated/cooled? Also, what type of hvac system should i get for a 10000 sq.ft villa?

    Thanks in advance!

There are almost as many ways to heat and cool a commercial building, as there are types of commercial buildings.

What type should you use. Depends of what the building is being used for.

    If you want suggestions.

You need to post more info on building use, and location.

It depends on how big the building is, Some have package units, others can have absorbers or centrifugals. Larger Buildings normally have a large air handler with chilled water and boiler water coils, as well as re-heat coils in the duct work for individual areas. Then heat can range from one to however much is needed million BTU's boiler. It is a very broad question, list more info and the answer will be more precise

Probably rooftop units. I like Lennox L-series just because they're easy to work on.

For that size home, I would look at geothermal systems or a two-pipe hydronic system. Find yourself a good HVAC Engineer to work with and get his opinions. Then come back here & bounce it off us to validate his recommendations.

If I were to bid your job, I would give you a choice:
Either one BIG unit, maybe twinned OR
    several small units.

If you love carrier, why not ask your local carrier wholesaler, I get good advise from them when I need suggestions.
