Here is the information on the 116 on frequency
The Meter measures the frequency of a signal by counting
the number of times the signal crosses a trigger level each
second. The trigger level is 0 V for all ranges.
    1. Press key to turn the frequency measurement
function on and off. Frequency works with ac volts only.
    2. In frequency, the bar graph and range annunciator
    indicate the AC voltage present.
    3. Select progressively lower ranges using manual ranging
    for a stable reading.

I use that for the easy calls. In and out. I picked it up at Home Depot. I keep the Fluke 322 and the Fluke 16 along with the same assortment of hand tools I use everyday.

i dunno even care to know how much money i spend in tools

i do know that last year alone was well over 4k

depends on what you call tools too

figure my laptop, combustion analyzer, and digi-cool gauges took a very large chunk of money real quickly

Ive got several big ticket items left still. I need to get a new vacuum pump, recovery unit, 1250's and an analyzer. I might just wait till next heating season to get the combustion analyzer...maybe aug or sep. I want a good one.
