    Zone Valve Question

    Hello,

I was wondering if there is an issue with leaving a heating zone valve open all the time (forcing it to the open position). This way if any zone calls for heat this zone will always circulate?

    Thanks,

    Joe W.

On some zone valves, it can do harm.
Also, on some systems, it may gravity heat.
If you have 3 or more zones. It could cause the manually opened zone to exced 100F.

On some zone valves even if it is manually open a call for heat might push the lever past the manual catch and then it will close when satisfied.
It probably wouldn't do any harm but, every system is different and results may vary.
    Don't try this at home...
