Long Island's Nuke Plant
Lipa tells you to conserve electric use,and now they want a rate hike.they still are billing customers on the shutdown of the plant in 89' that is owed at $3.3 billion dollars to date.....and they are now buying Oswego Nuke generated electric from upstate New York plant.hope the protesters who shut it down enjoy paying that bill.to all those National Grid customers with gas bills watch those meter readings numbers......they are adding to the readings with estimated billing.
800 acres and they can't figure out what to do with it.....indoor mall...gas powered generating plant with gas line from CT...movie theaters....touriest attraction

From what i understand that plant could be turned on if we have oil issues.
I do not understand what the fuss was about. It was run at low power for a few months then shut down.Aire Serv of SW Connecticut- Gas heat, dual fuel and central a/c systems installed and serviced

National Grid bought up Keyspan and all those out of date plants to produce electric that need upgrades bigtime.i always wondered how they snuck that fuel out of the plant, and off the Island.maybe on a barg in the Sound ,and to the Indian Point plant up on the Hudson?

50% of the residence out there have never drivin on the LIE(the worlds largest parking lot)unless the grapes out at the North Fork wineries started glowing they're not movin.they should of left it running at low power all these years, and they could of updated its saftey systems as a result of TMI
