    Question Blu-ray

Is Blu-ray really better than dvd??
I don’t always drink beer, but when I do I prefer Dos-Equis. I am the most interesting man in the world. Stay thirsty my friends.

I watched a blue-ray movie the other day. Transformers, blue ray with a HD projector on a 6ft screen. I really could not see a difference.

I use my PS3 hooked to a Sumsung HDTV using an HDMI cable and it blows away standard DVD.

No comparison, if you have a 1080p HD television

Yes it is but you must have a 1080p tv to enjoy it fully. I have close to 70 Blu-rays(Best Buy had Band of Brothers a couple of weeks back for 37 bucks if I remember right).

    be aware that

the original "content" may not be of the highest quality, however it has been burned onto a BluRay & sold at the **higher** price.
Case in point, "A Christmas Story", ( the red ryder bb gun), looks no better on blu-ray that it does on a regular dvd. Spiderman 3, has the quality and it shows on a Blu-Ray playback.

Yeah but pop in Batman Returns and before he gets on the plane to leave Indonesia after his training with the League of Shadows and be prepared to be blown away by the lush greens.
