Humans are the first (as far as we know) species in the history of planet Earth to obtain the ability to make complex tools that have the ability to actualy chance the chemical makup of the atmosphere and air around us, we HAVE released more chemicals into the air in our brief industrialized existance than all of the volcano's (natures prime source of atmospheric contamination) that have erupted since we became industrialized.
Can humans alter the climate? ABSOLUTELY! Will we or can we detroy the planet? Ehhh doubtfull, unless that particle accelerator in europe actually creates a blackhole.
I don't see how we can do little more than render the planet temporarily unable to support complex life forms on the surface, keep in mind ther are countless forms of life in the ocean that we can't even reach.
The only thing humans will accomplish is kill all life on this planet if we do not stop releasing chemicals into our enviroment.
Global warming will happen no matter what we do or have done, that's earths cycle, the warming is melting the polar ice and destabilizing the moderate climate in the northern hemisphere and will cause colder more erratic weather and lead to an early long lasting ice age due to all the millions of tones of frozen water that can now evaporate and raise wolrdwide humidity and reflect more of the sun's heat and increase moisture available for precipitation which will turn to snow from colder winters.
Stock up on winter gear guys and gals
We the willing, led by the unknowing, for the ungratefull, have done so much for so long with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing.
Refrigeration is all the same weather your making Ice, refrigerating or freezing the product.
