Some of us do learn. Mine would spend it more wisely than me. But this year she didn't ask about it-think she knew. She will be pissed when she finds out everyone else got them though-only a matter of time.

we still got ours and our traditional kick butt party, won 600 bucks this year but didnt win the grand prize(choice between a 2009 Chevy Silverado regular cab pickup/Week trip for 2 Hawaii with pay and 4000 dollars spending money/10,000 dollars cash).

On the missing out though my cousin who is a superintendent on a job for a construction company was supposed to get 7% of the profit he makes on the job, well he found out there not going to give it to him and his percentage would have been 63,000 dollars.

Speaking of Christmas bonuses, a girl I use to date was a nurse and I went with her to their Christmas party and there were a good 400 people at least.

Employees were given raffle tickets when they came in and 50 people were drawn and got $25 each.

I couldn't believe how cheap that way seemed. Here were all these doctors and they were raffling off bonuses ...... at least doctors didn't get raffle tickets.

I sat in my chair just thinking how the people that got nothing felt being the appreciation of the hospital depended on what number you had.

Now I know that Hvac shops dont have the type of money hospital have and times are tough.

That was a CHEAP A$$ HOSPITAL

I have always had a good Christmas bonus working for the hi-rise condominium.
I know the people who pay my salary, my bonus, and they know me for over 20 years
They also appreciate other workers like custodians who get nice bonuses as well.

I have a job in a slow economy.
I have a boss who strives to find work for us.
I have a wife who loves me in spite of myself.
I have many blessings that I can count as my Christmas bonus.
Some money would have been nice but, I never plan on getting a bonus so If I do get one then it's a nice surprise, if I don't get one then it's no big deal.

Merry Christmas from a man who understands just how wealthy he is.

Now that you mention it , I haven't had a Christmas bonus in 9-10 years.
I truly think those day are long gone for most of us.

We did finally get a company Christmas party last year at a nice hotel next to Disneyland.

That night a fight broke out in the restroom and that's the last of that.
(Alcohol and market refrigeration guys don't always mix well)

Be thankful for what you have
this trade is pretty steady...I'll take that over a bonus anytime.
