    Bryant HVAC

Hi. I just received a price quote for a Bryant HVAC install. A couple of questions:

    1) is there a way to compare the cost of the Bryant hardware? Asked another way, how do I know what the real cost is for the equipment minus mark-up?

    2) the Bryant equipment is the Legacy Line Model 223A Heat Pump and Model Fv4B Variable Speed Fan Coil. The vendor is stating that the 223A is rated at 15 SEER and 8.6 HSPF, however the brochure refelcts 13 SEER and 8.5 HSPF. Which is correct?

    3) This Bryant line seems like builder grade equipment. Is this a good / reliable product?

    Thanks

Bryant is good brand name furnace. Look on your written estimate for model and compare it to the Bryant website.Best way to see whats quoted and what your getting. Not satisfied with the price get other estimates and do some research and get in writing. Beware lowest bid may not be truly what you want!!

Be sure to get the Thermidistat control/stat if you go with Bryant.

If you new the cost, how would you know what the installed price should be?

The installed cost includes all the costs of the company you buy from. That said training, benefits, wages, etc.,vary greatly ,those that have higher costs often have the best people to design, install and serve you.

When you buy a new car, how do you know the real cost without the mark up.

When you buy a new house how do you know the real cost without the mark up.

How many times must one fix something before it is fixed?
