    Backdraft Dampers

I am going to be adding a solid fuel furnace in my home> I have an exsisting lp forced air furnace that I will be keeping. I am thinking about adding backdraft dampers, one in each furnace in order to isolate each unit. I have worked out the diagram and located theunits, either Honeywell or Aprilaire, both of which are motorized.
What I am thinking of is to install 1 at the top of the exsisting plenum which will be "normally closed" . But will open when the solid fuel unit is down and the LP gas unit calls for heat.
Am I going in the right direction?
    Thanks,
    Tom

Back draft dampers should be weighted/barometric, not motorized.

    Thats all I'll tell you.

Are these dampers to isolate ductwork, suppy air? Or isolate vent products of combustion?

This is to isolate the lp furnace while the solid fuel furnace is operating.
    Thanks Superheatman!
