    Deflection strain gauge

Where can you buy a deflection strain gauge online? This is a tool used to set proper tension on a fan belt.

Are you looking for the one like Emerson Power Transmission sells?

Basically a reverse spring scale with O-ring markers on it.

I got mine at United, I'd bet they carry it online, too.

Here's one made by Browning Belt, and sold at Grainger

Also, I've seen one in the Johnstone Catalog, but as I remember it is quite a bit more than the one at Grainger.

    Ask the local supply houses?

I did... turns out they got a handful of them, never sold any, and I got a free one
