The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

Well, if you're ever down that way and in need of being buried, my SIL's family owns the funeral home in Merryville.

I'm looking forward to the visit. The drive will suck -- 15 hours of pure joy.
Oh, well, it's worth it to see my father and the rest of the clan.Merry Christmas

Last trip there was smoked ribs, pheasant, stuffed pork chops, and several side dishes that I can't recall. That may be due to the dessert they liked to serve, Jack on the rocks.

Should be a good Thanksgiving dinner.Merry Christmas

Deep fried, baked, BBQ on the spit. never did the smoke version.
So far everyone likes it cooked on the spit. Takes about the same time as baking. I just use a Weber with a rotisserie and put the coals off to the sides and toss in some wood to smoke it a bit. Some Rosemary that I cut off the from bushes out front too

we did a Fowl De Cochon, a De-Boned Pig stuffed with a De-Boned Turkey, a De-Boned Duck, De-boned Chicken, and De-Boned Quail with two dressings of your choice one year.
Some might consider it one upmanship to a turduken.
Seems like Katrina must have taken out the place in Kenner we got it from.
