    Lubricant analysis ?

Very interesting to see a system that one might say has not had a preventative maintenance program that consisted of frequent lubricant analysis. We look forward to seeing more pictures from this overhaul or as Carrier would say a Stop Major.

Hope the DVD arrived in one piece.

The machine is pretty dirty to say the least. Most of the metal in the 3rd pic should be bright shiny aluminum!!! It cleans up good though.
    Still waiting on the DVD.

I think it may be the angle of the pic. There are a few spots on the first stage impeller, one pretty bad but they appear to be old. But no fresh major even wear like carry over damage/erosion.

    A couple more pics.

First is a shot of the second wheel ready to come off.
Next is first wheel cleaned up a little.
Then a shot of the gears from the front with the high speed assy pulled.
    Next, thrust assy side view.
Five is a shot of the thrust shoes, counter thrust shoes outside, face down.
    Rear tail bearing coming out.
View of damage to the tail bearing.
