    Space Pak

We are looking into using space pak for our HVAC system in our house. Since we have plaster walls and ceilings, space pak seems like a good option. The bids we are getting are considerably higher (even though we gutted the entire basement, which has made access to the above floor easier for a HVAC contractor to run the tubing). We have heard that space pak can be loud and the tubing could possible deteoriate over time. Also, people suggest we only go with the space A/C and use some other type of system for heating.

Just wondering what are the other pro's and cons to Space Pak, are there other competing systems like space pak that are more resonable priced? What other type of heat systems could work with space pak AC.

We are very new at this, any advise or other options would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

There is also Unico Hi velocity, very good..We install hundreds of Spacepaks and unico every year. Both are good, never heard of lines deteriorating.Compared to conventional systems, they are louder. There is backround noise, customers hardly ever complain. When properly installed sound is not a problem. They are very good for a/c but Heat pump and hydro-air-May not be best first option,We install in NY,CT,PA,Boston if you want quote.Company is Unique Indoor Comfort

Both SpacePak, and Unico can be very loud. If not installed properly.
The people telling you they are loud. Either were never in a house with one installed properly. Or they don't know how to install them properly.

    HV systems are not cheap.
