Are there really HVAC contractors going out of business? I am in the Johnson City area of TN right now and had no idea HVAC company's are having such a hard time.

I don't think you have the right temperament for RESI sales.....

"Buy a furnace from me or I will firebomb your home" usually doesn't close the sale...
actually, when I was in residential....

I was always #1 or #2 out of all the techs for successful sales leads. 9 times outta 10, the salesman didn't have to show up to do anything but get the papers signed

If you don't know, then don't do. If you don't know and still do, then be prepared to pay someone else a lot to undo what you did and then do it right.

If you do know, then do. But do it right. Otherwise, you may not be doing it long.

We had a salesman go 1 for 27 on tech leads this past summer....

Looking forward to selling my own from now on!!

I think my total for 2007 was 71 sales. I put in about 85 leads. I remember on 3 of them, the salesman (who was fired) couldn't seal the deal so they sent me back out with the salesman and I sealed the deal.

I was glad they kicked his a$$ outta sales and into installation. He couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. Whereas I could sell dogsh!t to a sidewalk.

    Hey weber,

Are you looking for a superior HVAC/DDC commercial/industrial/institutional service and installation technicians. ( who has performed complete turn key commissioning of HVAC mechanical and DDC control projects. That is very organized and extremely efficient. If so I'm just who you are looking for. I can be bought , but I don't come cheap

    Best Regards, Chet
