    My muslim buddy called me:

Just told me about obamas' election. He was not happy because obama is a socialist, perhaps muslim.

I eased his worry, because the president is not king, just one player but does not hold all the cards nor make all the rules.

Black people deserve a celebration over obama getting elected, I understand that that celebration is worthy. [I celebrate with black folks too a little here]

Like it or not, obama will be our next president, and he will only shift things not make draconian changes. [we have too many guns] Obama will not institute sharia-law nor outlaw guns, whatever his lofty ambitions. It like 'changing the world', yeah, righty buddy and we will see that happen when pigs fly.

Whatever lies obama told to get into office is those of a typical politician, and bad connections are the norm. He will be a typical politician, but so would have mccain, I am sorry to admit.

We re-elect these morons time and time again,... we deserve the outcome.

Hail to the chieif: Obama, best wishes in your presidency from the tool-slinger.

Unless obama is a USA version of hitler, he seems to have all of the ingredients of a typcal USA crooked politician. I agree too bad I do not know for sure what obama really means for the future, he spouts off such lofty ambitions and all it is enough to make one wonder if he is evil or delusional or just saying cr@p to get elected.

As for the black thing, that is very important to black americans, they voted for obama about 95% I read. Some speculation a black man could not be elected president because of color. Wrong. I am sorry it had to be a lefty, but just as well he was black because that should help ease race-relations in this country,.. or at least help put to rest the ridiculous accusations of racism where none exist. That may be one good thing to come of this.

I am very sorry the republicans lost to democrats,.... but it seems to me the democrats have become adamant and beligerant socialists and the republicans have become cautious and sneaky socialists. I want neither socialist. There is some change I can hope for, how about some real conservative politicians to vote for?

I don't think there are ANY black people that are "100% black" if you consider that the average black american is somewhere around 20% white and 10% american indian. So if you judge him by the standards America has lived by since the first Africans were imported then he is black just like all the rest.

I'd be surprised if any of us were anywhere near purebred anything. I would just have at least some respect for President Obama if he referred to himself as a man of mixed race. When President Obama declared himself to be Black, he turned his back on the half of his family that is most responsible in his upbringing. How can I feel comfortable with a man who turns his back on his own family?

Turned his back? Maybe. But I guess that depends on whether or not that half of his family saw him as half-white or black. I could be completely wrong, but I will stick my neck out and guess that at least some of them see and/or saw him as black, just like everyone else sees him when the PC police aren't around. Even more so considering the era in which he was born.

BTW- I believe the white side of his family was almost completely responsible for his upbringing. If I understand correctly, his father was nonexistant and his step-father was only involved for a couple years before he moved in with his grand-parents.

He called himself a mutt the other day on tee vee, while talking about getting a dog.

Him becomming president is truly a great reflection on America.

I believe that many black people registered and voted for him only because he's black. Keeping in mind that does not take any thing away form him becoming president. He is not a dumb person and laid plenty of ground work to become a nominee.

BTW, I did not vote for him.

    Somebody asked this lady,
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marilyn_vos_Savant
"Why can't we get someone decent as a president?"
She said, "Because nobody decent would want the job."

I totally agree that one person, even the President, can't make a large change all at once. But it's the incremental changes that are doing us in.

If someone tried to walk in one day and institute communism in this country he likely would not see the sun rise tomorrow. But look at how many of the principles of communism have seeped into our every day lives INCREMENTALLY. Control of the education system, control of the media, progressive income taxes, gun control . . .

Sure, these ideas do not yet have total control of their respective areas, but if in the 1950's we could have looked ahead to the present, we would not believe that things would ever get to where they are now.
