Tear out/demolition,3 men,3hours each,shop time 6hours,2 sheet metal journeymen 8hours each,journeyman pipe-fitter 12 hours,total(subtracting nine hours two tinners and pipefitter tear-out)34 labor hours.We used the 140k XV80,Honeywell IAQ,5-Ton XR13,Dual Honeywell F100 20x25x5 wide media air cleaners.Went smoothly,a lot of contractors in my area are not comfortable quoting this type work.

Why not? The XV80 is a two stage variable speed furnace.

Did they fire off both of the old furnace for heat or were they stagged some how?

There was only the 5-ton evaporator coil and another blower package in the second cabinet.The Honeywell IAQ allowed for remote monitoring,temperature averaging,true 2-stage operation,and outside temperature humidifier automation.They ruled out the 90 for cosmetic(vent pipe in front of house)reasons.

The duct wrap and elbos are 24x10,there are turning vanes in the drop,spot welded inside,no rivets,no photos of the condenser,it's on a new concrete slab,with sight glass,the Trane cased coil was 2 inches taller and would have kept us from raising the furnace onto the blocks,or no duct canvas connectors which are our companies' standard.A lot of the old homes out this way have restricted ceiling height in the basements.R-22 system with new line-set .They turned down XL16i and XV95.

The GE executives are the oldest continuosly operating units that we are currently replacing and probably the reason Trane bought GE's plant in Tyler Texas.
