Is the Democratic National Committee, what a waste...I'm venting here

My Senators name is Jim Alesi, he is the Senator for the 55th District of NYS. I have no affiliation with Mr Alesi nor am I promoting him or his position.

As far as I know he is up for re-election with no opponent. But he has been running some of the nicest Ads on TV. Not bashing anyone. He never mentions any opponent and just reiterates his record in Congress (and I like the guy, he is pro-2nd amendment, and pro-hunting) which for a politician is pretty good. His entire TV Ad's are about him and his record.

another words, he has done his job and done it fairly well and like I said, he has no challenger (as far as I know)

But last night The Democratic National Committee aired a BLISTERING negative Ad that call Mr Alesi nothing short of a criminal. I found the Ad disturbing because it was completely without merit AND OFFERED no solution or opponent to back up the negative Advertisement. There is no alternative to this completely hateful Ad

The entire Ad was simply to make a republican look bad, actually the Ad would have made Desmond Tu-Tu look like a criminal.

I found the entire Ad in bad taste with no redeeming value at all.

    Sorry, I'm just venting

Go ahead and vent, I have been for a dozen years, ever since they put that scumbag Howard Dean in charge of my state. Why should you expect anything more from the Dems after they put that socialist b--turd in charge of the DNC, he can't beat you with brains so he has to tear you down with dishonesty.

You could at least be a LITTLE objective and admit the rotten politics coming from the Republicans. It's break time here.
This is the first election in awhile where the Dem's have at least not rolled over when the fight got tough.
The Republicans have it coming. They drew first blood and so it goes.

Some things the Dems could have done but didn't was go after McCain's wife's drug problem and her stealing meds. Or really press McCain's health records so we can all see them. The RNC would never have left these issues tabled if they were Obama's.

Also realize there are three political parties here. Liberal leaning, Conservative leaning and Elitist that lean toward themselves. The Republicans nominee is another elitist.

It's always 'he started it' isn't it?

Did you notice how the original poster was praising the guy that didn't do 'negative' advertising?

It's obvious you don't live in a battle ground state. I can count for you the negative ads from both campaigns here in Missouri. And McCain doesn't have nearly as many as Obama. For one thing, Obama has all that wonderful campaign money to spend. I get 5-10 pieces of campaign mail a day now and 99% of them are from Obama. Not one single piece of it is positive advertising--100% of it is negative. I get several calls a day on my answering machine--local Obama headquarters even though they've been told several times to stop calling.

Why exactly is it okay for either campaign to 'go after' family? Which is what you are advocating.

Explain please exactly how the Republicans 'drew first blood' and 'have it coming'? We're all just dying to know the answer.

Negative advertising should be stopped from all quarters, regardless of who thinks who started what. (how fricken juvenile!)

I wasn't advocating negative adds, I'm just not surprised when it happens. The far right gurus on the radio make their living going negative. It goes on here on ARP all the time. Just scroll down and see the negative Obama posts.

And put your reading glasses on. I never advocated going after family. What was said is the opportunity was there and Obama didn't go there. I think that was the honorable thing to do. Also pushing health issues which should be private in most cases.
And I'll restate my belief is the RNC wouldn't have left issues like this out of the campaign.

The Carl Rove mentality and the RNC is win win at any cost. They hired hit men to go negative.
Palin self described pit bull has also been negative.
What's happening here is that no one sees their side as doing anything wrong, just the other side.

Back in your "copy/paste" days you posted anything you could find to undermine Obama. Ad nauseum. You probably don't have much of a life and boredom is consuming you.

So lets be clear? Mr Alesi has not done any negative advertising and the advertising he has done is completely positive about his own record. He has no opponent (again, as far as I know) so he has not bashed anyone

But some how, this gives the DNC the right to come along and for NO REASON blast a completely negative ad at someone who has no opponent. Basically the DNC called Alesi a criminal?

Why? The worse part is, they offer no solution to what, apparently they believe, is a criminal running for office.

How can anyone defend this behavior??? care to explain that to me
