    Alerton Ibex 3700/TDS Question

I'm on a problem old job that has the Microview, 2 APLC's, and 10 TUX's.
I've had the Ibex3700 and TDS software running, which is on my laptop and not configured to the site. When I thought I was getting close to reading the DDC, it prompted me to "go to Apex Mode". How do I do that?
Can anyone tell me how these Apps relate to each other to allow me to view/configure the DDC or TUX logic? Maybe that will help me grasp this system's intelligence architecture.
Is the Comm Error window addresses the same as the device number? If not, how do you determine the device number to read it?
    TIA,

Another question: I read in the manual where you should not have the Microview to Alerton system plugged into the Microview at thhe same time my laptop cable is plugged into the Microview. So I unplugged the Microview to Alerton system cable. The only thing I could then do is change the display and see Schedules/Trends. All stuff I think is stored in the Microview. But after thinking about it, how can my laptop see the TUX or APLC DDC if it's not? Unplugging the Microview cable to the Alerton system will prevent me from seeing/reading the APLC or TUX DDC, right? Or is the DDC in the Microview?
At times, I was getting an "unable to communicate with TUX" error.
I know I should be able to read the DDC with what I'm using as I saw someone else (6 months ago) do this with the same software he gave me that I am using.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Jogas,
If you want to connect to the APLC's, all you need is a windows 98 boot disk with TDS on it and a 2650 cable. Make sure the TDS is the dos version. Check your e-mail.

    Thanks for the reply.
I ended up running Ibex3700 on my old Win 98 laptop, then Alt "D"ing to chain to "DS"(?) to get to the programmable Tux's (APLC's). Then read the DDC and saved to file.
I'm flow charting the logic now. I think I'll be on this one a while.
    I received no email.
I would like to PM you.
