I was worried about this too. Too many people out there that have racist beliefs and the training to pull something like this off.

An assassination, or even an attempt at it would be very bad for the country. It would set race relations back for decades.

Agreed. And things are going to be tense enough no matter HOW perfect the elections come off. Whether it's a landslide or very close...no matter who wins. It ain't gonna be pretty.

I read about this incident a little while ago and it doesn't really surprise me that it happened.
If Obama does get the White House, someone is going to be gunning for him regardless, they just won't stand idle if he takes the election. Truthfully, I'm concerned for his safety whether or not he wins in Nov.
I've also thought about Nov 5th for a bit and if he wins, there may be rioting, of sorts, in the streets after the proclamation is made and, if he doesn't win there will be rioting in the streets after the proclamation, rioting of the worst sort.
