NG fireplace
hello I'm interested in buying a NG fireplace from my father in law but I would like to know what all is involved in switching it from Ng to LP

You get a LP conversion kit from a dealer who sells that brand of fireplace. Preferably you should have them install it and do a full inspection of the unit also.

let the pro do it
you may rquire new orifices in pilot in main burner and new spring in gas valve.... a pressure test on manifold should be done after all parts installed to insure proper setting..

Conversion to LP is not a big deal at all, as far as the fireplace itself. If the gas plumbing to the fireplace is already figured out, no worries.

I knew that you had to change the orifice and set the gas valve but i didnt know if you had to change the gas valve

when manufacturer will give you the info on what needs to be done, just like anything else..
