Thread: Question: Is liner required for B-Vent WH

    We are talking dilution air 21 degrees. And the consensus of all of us who live in Mi agree it's ok to run the WH to the B vent.

    It has nothing to do with sizing! it just cools the venting gas with surrounding air. What about fan assist furnaces wheres your dilution air. Don't you guys have inspectors, if it passes good for you. I am just going by my venting tables.

    IFGC is what is enforced here.
    So it is allowed here.
    Your area is apparently different.

    Canada probably has their own code for it that differs from the states.

    Maybe you are loosing something in the translation. Why don't you try reading the English section instead of the French.
