Trane Integration
Going to integrate 3 trane RTHD chillers with LCI-C LON card with JCI XTlon device to N2 interface. I'm not familiar with Trane and LON
What for parameters:
Base Loading Auto/on Request
Base Loading Setpoint Input
Is it necessery to bind them?
CurrentA and CurrentD - what difference?
And how to get alarm as value or digital status (XTLon has no str_asc and chiller_status..... )
-
It depends. If the chillers came with the LCI cards you are fine but if not you will have to bind them. You would then also have to flash the LCI card with the proper image for the chiller you are working on. Water cooled, air cooled, screw or centrifugal etc. Then it is as simple as having the same .xif and .nxe files for your system and it should work just like that. I have done lon with a number of manufacturers and it is slicker than whale poop on an ice flow. I don't know what you want to do with the base loading but I have seldom seen that option used.

Go to www.lonmark.org and look up the functional profile for a chiller. Trane sticks to the profile for the most part, it will show you what points it will have. You can also find the .xif file on there too.
