Running 2 ton a/c off 2 batteries or 110v?

Ok this may seem like a crazy/ stupid question but here goes.. anyone think it`s possible to run an a/c off a work truck.. 2 marine batteries in series and a high watt converter? Say 3000 watt (Surge capability(peak power): 6000 watt)

Or of a 120v outlet with a step up transformer?

you could just use a honda generator

it would take 120v off a 30a breaker

just curious what are you trying to accomplish the source of 120v in buildings if fed by 240v anyways
