HRV or ERV and good filter
Hello. First post and nice forum. I found an old thread asking the same question but wanted to get an update. I live near Toronto, Canada in a new home that seems to be very "tight". The first winter, condensation built up quite heavily and pooled on the window sills. I want to avoid that this year. One contractor I spoke with says ERV is the best solution for me. Another said the exact opposite and claimed HRV is the way to go. I was quoted a VanEE 60ERV for a 1900 sq. ft. single level home with a basement the same size. After a bit of research, it looks like the ERV won't deal with my moisture problem, but may be the better choice in the long run once the house drys out. I don't know what to do.
I am also considering the Lifebreath models of HRV and the VanEE 90H HRV.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
My second question relates to air filtration. I have been offered The Electro Breeze filter and told it is close to HEPA quality. I can't find much feedback about Electro Breeze. I don't want to spend the money on HEPA but would like a good solution. Again, any advice is much appreciated.
