Me too. You were already on "the" list

I have made myself available for emergencies since I was a contractor. I would always check messages and return calls after hours before pagers, everyone had my pager number when they came out and everyone has had my cell numbers since. I have not had anyone abuse my availability.

I have had contractors call at 5:30 in the morning because they were in the office early catching up on paperwork. Every time this has happened the contractor has been extremely apologetic telling me they expected to leave a message.

I have also been able to prevent a tech from having to leave a customer without heat or A/C at 9:00 at night just by being able to talk them through a quick fix or just happening to know about a quirk with the system they are working on. As far as I am concerned, this is just an additional benefit for these contractors being loyal to my services.

Well I always tell people that you are a no nonsense guy but will go the extra mil to help a fellow contractor. Your post confrimed that

But it would seem kinda surreal taking to you on the phone because of your reputation.

Eh I'm getting sappy , sorry.

Give my best to the family and make your self a mint.
