A wrong point on the FX-40

I am adding devices to the FX-40 off line
    I have a UNT Rooftop PRN.file
I am using a good FX-40 Rooftop graphic from the sysPx file

    The main fan
If I attempt to bind it to what I think is the correct ord
    It dissapears,
If I select the point SF-S ,the fan graphic is visible.
If I select the point SF-S /out / status ,the fan graphic is invisible.

    1) Is this safe to say it is the editor's way of telling me whether I have ___binded the correct ord?

    2) This is one of three devices I am going to add to an existing FX-40
which already has 10 simple devices
    a) How would I add only the new devicesto the FX-40 without erasing the
    existing devices?

    3) PX and kit ,where does that terminolgy come from?

Note: In most of my post I include the word "we"
In my company When it comes to the FX-40 ,all the H.V.A.C. techs hide their laptops.

    Thank you very much

You should be usin SF-S -> out-> value. This will make the fan visible. To add more modules, go to the network tree in navigator and double click the N2 network. A list of your modules will show up on the right. At the bottom of that page theres a tab that says NEW. Click this tab to add more modules and specify adress, prn file, graphic, etc...

You should really crack open the WB Users Guide and do some reading. No insult intended. I struggled with some basics originally, then I started reading more. You'll pick up bits and pieces every time. And you'll also find 'brain ticklers' that you'll remember where to look later.

You should also get away from that dumb-ass appliance and use the base Tridium style.

"Presentation Xml" is where PX comes from denoting the file format, the kitPX is a module containing widgets you can use to present your data in a PX graphic.

The 818 Page Workbench PDF. is not always that helpfull.
They are vague about configuring a devices.
If you do not know to look at drivers/JciN2network/device name, you will never find it.
As far as statoion copier goes they give you ovious information about direction, to and from the controler,
but once you get there it is easy to figure out.
    T
he trick is figuring out how to open station copier

If I want the same type of multiple devices using the same graphic to
look at their own local zone temp,I can go into each device and
go through the entirE directory to find that point, over and over or
I can just open the property window
and for ord binding wipe out everthing before slotoints /ZN$2DT/OUT/value
and it saves alot of time.
Is there a site that contains someshortcuts and more info?
    Thank you

It may not have all the answers, but it will get you alot further along.

Must be that appliance/JCI interface that I recommend not using. I stopped using it within days and didn't have problems finding items in config....slots.

I'd say the WBUG, but you already know that. Maybe your distributor, or 514 N. Jefferson St. Milwaukee, WI, or 3957 Westerre Parkway, Richmond, VA

Check the point type in both the Ord, the image properties, etc.

If you have a Enum Ord and Boolean image properties for instance, no worky

Seen this way to many times........
