    What size steam humidifier???

    Hey All,

I have decided to get a Steam humidifier but I would like some advice on the size to get...

My home is 900 SqFt main floor, 700 SqFt upstairs and 900 in the basement...
My home would be classified as loose...

I live in Minneapolis Minnesota where the outside temp can get quite cold.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You
    Frank...

The first recomendation. Is to tighten your home up where ever possible.

You may want to consider 12+ gallons a day, with loose construction.

    Thank You Beenthere…

    I am learning as I go…
It seams the more I figure out the more there is to learn. (Still no light at the end of the tunnel)

She is an old house and I will tighten her up, but it will take time…

The old furnace was 100,000 BTU so I purchased a new 100,000 BTU when the old one went bad.
However the new high efficiency furnace has about 30% more airflow then the old one. (Oops) I don’t think my old Aprilair 110 will get enough run time to help the humidity much…
