That can vary allot from 5 -15-20 depending on what temperatures are inside and outside.
Hunting -throttling -open on a TEV can be due to air-temp-obstruction.
Check airflow
Check sub-cooling
check Delta

First of all i am not french ,second your answer is very arrogant,third i got 15 experience ...starting from a domestic fridge and end up troubleshooting VRV /VRF systems....the reason for my post is simply i did not see an answer even close to what superheat is...

Exactly what I said. On the slide rule you slide it over to the indoor wetbulb you have, and then look at the outdoor temp., and then it tells you what superheat you should have.
