I am a new joinee here. Where can I post my question (Technical)?
Questions: For thermal power plant building application, for low pressure duct design what is the design velocity across grills/diffusers? Max velocity at any point in the duct has been considered as 8m/s.

You would need to apply for (and be granted) Pro Membership.

seanbeam, Probably not , your EPA card is received after you pass the test, its not that difficult.
EPA is Environmental Protection Agency, they must have answers on their website to get you started. I'm in the State of Michigan you have to be licensed here to become mechanical contractor , in the state of Illinois you only need EPA certification, you dont have to take test their to be mechanical contractor for residential applications I don't know what is required for Commercial Application or work! Where is City of Guilds?
