Just serviced...yah right!
This is a split system used for a couple of offices in a commercial building. The bad thing about this is the business owner just paid a company big money to clean this a-coil last month. This thing has not been touched in years.

I hope you showed the business owner that picture...

That is only part of the story. There are 10 systems at this location. This was the worst but they were ALL very dirty. 6 systems had clogged condensate drains . Of those six four had clogged secondary drains and the water was running out of the units at the opposite end of the coil through the cabinet and into the rusted pan below. NO safety shutoffs. The company was being paid a nice monthly check to come out and change filters(21 total) and keep these in perfect running condition.
Needless to say the company was fired after I showed these pics. The owner was getting a little suspicious after this company was coming in every week or so to fix a break down and collect even more dinero so we were called.
The bad news is that it is going to take several loooong visits to get these back in good shape. The good news is that I now have earned another long term monthly customer who also wants us to install 2 12.5 ton package units on additional space they will be taking over next month and maintain all 78 tons of cooling capacity the building will soon have. Turning out to be a profitable relationship for both parties.

That is a crime that filter was actually sucked into the coil. How could they charge for that.

Filter? They don't need no stinking filter! They already have the most efficient type, a wet usually frozen one! No airflow is just a negative side effect.
