    Over Load Protector

I posted this in commercial by accident so I thought I would put it here also.

I have a window unit in my garage that stopped working. I took the case off and probed the points on the compressor. I was getting voltage to one side of what was called the over load protector and not on the other. I took the blue wire off the OLP and put it to the CW on the compressor and it started right up. Can I leave the OLP off? Where can I get a replacement?

    Part number b230-150-241e

    Thanks,
    Bill

Only if you are trying to burn your house down.

There is a reason its bad. That needs to be investigated.
